Exercise (Session 8): Creating a Signature Flow (3.2)

Exercise Objectives

In this exercise, you will:

  1. Create a new Signature Flow in L7|Master.

  2. Add this new Signature Flow to a Protocol.

  3. Create a new Experiment to test this new Signature Flow.

Scenario

All Donors are screened prior to donating whole blood. At the conclusion of this step, rejected Donors are dropped from the Experiment (failed), while approved Donors transition to Unit Collection.

Your Task

Part 1: As a Super User, you have been asked to create one (1) new Signature Flow for Donor approval.

The lab manager has provided the following requirements:

Donor Approval

  • Accept Reasons: Approved

  • Reject Reasons: Frequency Health Weight

  • Signature 1:

    • Signed by members of the Clinical Operations Workgroup.

    • Label: Approval

    • Do not block progress until signed.

    • Signature locks data.

Part 2: Add this new Signature Flow to the Donor Approval Protocol.

  • Add an approval field to the end of the Protocol named Donor Approval

    • Assign the Donor Approval Signature Flow.

Part 3: Now that you have updated the Protocol, you need to test that the Signature Flow works as expected. To do this:

  1. Create and submit a new Experiment for the Donation Screening Workflow.

    1. Add two (2) new or existing Donor Entities.

  2. Create and complete a new Worksheet for the Experiment.

    1. Approve one (1) Donor and reject the other.

The User you are logged in as (system admin) is a member of the Clinical Operations Workgroup.
