How-to: Update an Applet in L7|ESP

Issue:

How can users update an applet in ESP without running 'make install'?

Solution:

There are two ways to address this topic

  • First, users can edit the applet through the ESP L7|MASTER application (there should be an "Edit" button to select)

  • Another option is users can import the changes made through the ESP Client

    (esp import applet /path/to/applet)

Note: This process could be used for most any ESP entity a user would like to import (e.g., workflows, sample types, reports, etc.)
