Workflow Chain TransitionsWorkflow Chain Transitions

Exercise Objectives

  • Part 1: Update an existing Recipe in the Workflow Chain builder

  • Part 2: Define the transitions between each Section

  • Part 3: Add swim lanes

  • Part 4: Create a new Batch Record in MES to test these changes

Scenario

CAR T-cells are manufactured in a series of Steps, organized into Sections of a Recipe.

Your Task

Part 1: As a Super User, you have been asked to add the Cell Wash and Cell Separation Sections you created in the previous exercise to an existing manufacturing process for CAR T-cells.

Recipe: CAR T Processing

  • After Initiate MFG, the Batch transitions to Cell Wash

  • After Cell Wash, the Batch transitions to Cell Separation

Part 2: Define the transitions between each Section.

  • The Batch will always transition to the next Section when the previous Section has been completed.

Tip

Complete refers to the Transition Rule

Batch refers to the Transition Strategy

Part 3: Create the following swim lanes and assign each Section to the appropriate one:

  • MFG Area Prep

  • Cell Wash

  • CD8 Selection

Part 4: Create a new Batch Record for CAR T Processing to confirm that these requirements were modeled correctly. Also confirm that the data links you created in the previous exercise work.

The data links will only work if there are values to pull forward.
